While running the Extradium installer, you might encounter a rather cryptic 2869 installation error, as shown in the screenshot below:
If so, make sure the User Account Control setting (available in the Control Panel) on the SharePoint server where you install Extradium is set to "Never notify", as shown below:
After you've changed this setting, don't forget to reboot your server before installing Extradium, as officially recommended by Microsoft (cf. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709691(WS.10).aspx#BKMK_S3 ).
Note: this is a requirement listed on page 4 of the Extradium 2010 Quick Start Guide.
